WILDERNESS FESTIVAL PHOTO GALLERY
Wilderness Festival has a character that is difficult to find anywhere else. Set amongst the lakes and woodland of Cornbury Park, it brings together brilliant live music, creativity and a crowd that is completely up for the experience. This year saw huge performances from Scissor Sisters, Annie Lenox, The Last Dinner Party and Carl Cox, but the festival is about much more than the main stage. Everywhere you look, something is happening, whether it is a packed crowd dancing late into the night or a completely unexpected moment appearing in front of the camera.
What really makes Wilderness stand out is its free spirited attitude. People arrive ready to get involved, dress however they want and leave normal life behind for the weekend. From up to 60 streakers ‘interrupting’ the cricket to festival goers swimming in the lake, there is always something different to photograph. For me, the best images come from that mix of big & small performances, brilliant characters and smaller moments that happen naturally around the site. It is a festival that gives people the freedom to be themselves, and that comes through in every photograph. Heres a little gallery showcasing some of my favourite imagery.
